Review: Lancome Color Fever Gloss in Precious Light
This is a review for Lancome's Color Fever Gloss in Precious Light. It came as part of a trio of full size Color Fever glosses in a LE Lancome holiday set.
I really love the packaging of these glosses. Lancome really goes all out, adding little details that really make the packaging feel luxurious.
One of the highpoints with this gloss is definitely the brush. It is made from the same fuzzy material as a regular doe foot applicator, but is shaped differently. It's wider and has a hole in the center so it holds more product. With other glosses I need to dip into the tube multiple times, but with this gloss, once is enough.
Here is a side view of the brush. It's slanted, for even easier application.
Here's a swatch (sooo glossy!!!):
And here it is on my lips (sorry for the blur :l) It's a clear gloss with gold and silver shimmer, but the darker shades available are very well pigmented. I just don't wear dark lip gloss/stick often.
Anyway, it is really, is an awesome gloss. The texture is liquid-y, but still thick enough that it lasts fairly well. It's almost like a gel (maybe you can see in the swatch above?). Anyhow, it applies very very glossy and is completely non-sticky!!! Glosses that are advertised as non-sticky are usually very liquid-y and don't have any lasting power, but this gloss is great. I wears for around three hours if you don't eat/drink and the tube itself lasts forever. Also, I find that unlike other glosses, this one is fairly moisturizing. If you have a problem with dry or chapped lips it will not replace your lip balm but it also won't exacerbate the problem. Now, if you are one of those people that doesn't like scented/flavored glosses, then stay away, as this is both. The scent isn't very overwhelming, but it might irritate some, and I don't really like the flavor, while it isn't particularly bad (just personal preference). Other than that, it's great!
