I'm back :) (Please read!)

Hi there! It's been almost a full year since the last time I blogged, last summer. I had every intention of keeping up with the blog during the school year, but as soon as I got back to uni I got swamped. For those of you who don't know, I am a nursing major, and it's hard, so so hard. Between clinicals and two part time jobs I just could not find the effort in me to continue blogging, especially when I had so little free time that I was either with friends, studying, or sleeping. I do apologize for leaving you guys without any explanations, but I've worked so hard to get where I am today and my education comes first. I will try to make a good effort to update regularly, but I unfortunately I can't make any promises.

What brought me back to blogging? I was lacking in motivation for a while there. I couldn't make myself find the interest, especially since for the majority of the last few months I've been trying to finish the products I've accumulated rather than purchasing more. It hasn't been entirely successful, but I'm getting there. One of the things that made it easy for me to stop blogging is the fact that I don't really feel connected to you guys, my readers. I find myself getting discouraged when I put so much time and effort into a review and I see that there are a lot of page views, but almost no comments, no responses. I want to know what YOU think about the product. Have you tried it? Do  you agree with the review? Was your experience different from mine? I really do look forward to each and every comment, and I respond to just about every single one. I would love to hear from you guys more often!!! Is there something you would like to see on the blog? More of something? Less of something? Don't be shy! Let me know!

So there your have it! I will try to post as much as possible over the summer, but unfortunately, no promises for when I go back to uni. Thanks for your continued support!

~Natalie

  1. I LOVE your blog (I don't post on my gmail account because I don't like it showing up in search engines - my name is Michelle!)

Have you ever tried the oil cleansing method? I would love a review of that. I tried it with sunflower oil and castor oil, but it made my skin too dry afterwards. I think I'm going to try a mix of 3 parts olive oil, one part castor oil and a few drops of tea tree oil for my acne.

    1. Hi Michelle! Thanks for commenting!

I actually have tried a couple of cleansing oils. The one I'm using now is from The Body Shop--you can see exactly which one in the haul a few posts back. I like it, but I do agree, it's a bit drying for every day use. I haven't tried using olive oil as a cleanser, but I do use it sometimes when I run out of makeup remover lol! I'll be doing a review on the cleansing oil in a couple of days, so keep a look out!

  2. geez you're intense!! i'm a bio major myself, but i'm not working at the moment. i can't even imagine having a job (let alone 2!) with my major because it's killer as is and i wouldn't be able to handle it otherwise. good to see you back though! if it helps, you could always have scheduled posts to keep your blog updated even when you're busy :D

    1. Haha I know what you mean lol. This last semester especially was an absolute killer. I had literally no free time at all and I hated it. I was actually thinking about majoring in nursing and minoring in bio, but I just didn't want to do kill myself lol so I'm minoring in psych instead. Wish me luck haha

and the scheduled posts sound like an awesome idea I'll have to look into it thanks!!
